INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR COMMUNION: ÁLVARO

Álvaro is a little reserved at first and not very talkative; until he gains a bit of confidence, he hardly speaks. However, Aitor, his younger brother, is a different case—he’s a somewhat nervous boy who never stops moving. We had to play a bit with the fact that the two brothers were so different in this regard. On the day of the session, both arrived accompanied by their parents, and all four looked very handsome.

On the day María hired me for the communion, she told me that she would like to do both of the reports we usually offer—one indoors and one outdoors. So, on the first day, we conducted the studio session, planning to take the photographs 15 days before the celebration. This way, we could choose one snapshot from that first part of the session to give as a little gift to the relatives; and on that same day, we also took the family photo.

Out of the four settings we have, our protagonist went through three, choosing the order himself to create a more favorable atmosphere for the session. During the session, we talked about his interests, including soccer, which is a favorite among many children. Although, as I mentioned, our model was a bit reserved, we ended up with some beautiful photographs, so beautiful that his mom didn’t know which one to choose as a gift.

Álvaro, a reserved boy for whom we brought out all his potential

After his communion, about a week later, we agreed to do the second part of his photographic report. That day, he was once again accompanied by his parents and Aitor. We started the session in the park, and Álvaro was a bit nervous throughout almost the entire session because he had an exam in the following days and hadn’t studied much. This worry even showed in the photographs, although we at Aps didn’t give up and eventually managed to get him to relax a little bit. His brother wanted to be a part of his older brother’s shoot, and there were many intimate moments and lots of laughter between them.

The park offered us plenty of opportunities. We mentioned to María that we like to include a more personalized part in the session, and she told us that her son loved soccer—something he had mentioned before—and we thought it would be a great idea to incorporate this hobby into his communion report. We nailed it, as the snapshots turned out beautifully. The two brothers even played with a ball, and during that part, they really laughed a lot.

We leave you with Álvaro.
