interior and exterior photographic reports: Alejandro

Alejandro is one of those kids who makes a strong entrance, and you have to know how to bring him into your element so that his stormy energy turns into calm. I must say that, as always, it didn’t take long for him to go from arriving a bit reserved to enjoying his communion photo session like a true model.

With him, as with so many other kids, we turned his communion session into a memorable experience in which he had a blast both indoors and outdoors. We started with studio shots using flash, then moved on to the beautiful and magical natural light provided by the outdoors at Parque Oromana.

On the scheduled day, we planned to complete both parts of his session. Alejandro arrived at the studio accompanied by his mother and older siblings, who came along to help the little one feel more supported and at ease during his first visit. With Alejandro, we worked through three of our four settings, and he even chose which one to start with. The indoor photos took a bit more effort since, as I mentioned, Alejandro is a kid with a lot of character and we had to win him over; however, little by little, while chatting about our shared geeky interests, we managed to bond.

Outdoors, everything flowed much more easily. After a chat, we had gained more confidence and Alejandro made it super easy for us. We enjoyed our walk as we snapped photos, talking about Star Wars, Marvel, and Harry Potter—and in the end, we didn’t want the session to finish!

Alejandro, a kid in whom we brought out his very best

In this case, Alejandro’s mother played a crucial role in helping him relax and letting everything flow naturally. We believe that having a calm parent present is extremely important—on the contrary, there have been times when moms have made our subjects even more nervous.

Enjoy his photos, as you can clearly see that Alejandro truly had a great time!
