NEW BORN REPORT: curro

Curro’s mom was gifted a Newborn session for her little one. She got in touch with us in advance, and we set an approximate date for the session. After explaining everything about these sessions, we agreed to finalize the details once Curro arrived.

They arrived at the studio early, with clothes that were easy to remove for the baby, and without any pre-set shots—since it’s important for deep sleep to happen right here in the studio. It’s true that at first Curro slept soundly (even though he was very hungry), but after a little while into the session, the little one began to get restless. So, we decided to take some family photos to see if having his parents around would calm him down—and it worked.

Newborn photos are usually taken when the baby is between 10 and 12 days old, so that it’s easier for us to work with them and achieve beautiful results like these, or even earlier if the circumstances allow.

Curro in His First Photos with Us

In our Newborn sessions, we move between having the baby fully awake and seeing them asleep. Sometimes the baby is awake, but ideally, during the session the baby remains asleep, because that allows us to capture the most tender images and work more easily with them. When the little one is asleep, the photographer feels freer to add props or have the baby rest on surfaces like sofas, beds, or textiles.

We decided to postpone the session to the next day since Curro was quite restless—he was very hungry and wasn’t feeding sufficiently, which made him so nervous. So what did we do? We asked Pilar and Dani, the baby’s parents, to come back once the little one had settled down enough for us to finish the session for his album. They were delighted and relieved, especially after the slight disappointment of not being able to finish the session right away.

Even so, beautiful photos were captured. We leave you with Curro and his Newborn photos.
