NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY: FERNANDO
One day, Alicia contacted me and said that she had just given birth and was interested in taking some photographs of her newborn son, Fernando. They weren’t from around here, and it had to be done as quickly as possible—so we got right to work.
Fernando arrived at the studio accompanied by his parents and his older sister. We undressed him, leaving him in just his diaper and a little blanket to keep him warm (plus, we had the heating on for him), and Alicia began breastfeeding him. Meanwhile, we started the session by taking some intimate photos capturing that breastfeeding moment, and afterward we included the rest of the family in the pictures.
After that part, Fernando perked up a little, though not enough to stay awake for long, so we moved on to the segment where he appears on his own. For this, we used a wooden box as a support (always padded with protective coverings so that the little one stays as comfortable as possible).
Shared Spotlight with His Older Sister
Fernando is the youngest member of his family—a family made up of his parents and his older sister, who didn’t hesitate to pose in front of our cameras during this newborn photo session. I believe these photos best express the essence of the session, as older siblings are the protectors and caretakers of the little ones arriving in the world, and they provide us with incredibly tender images that you can see in our gallery.
After that, we returned to featuring little Fernando as the sole protagonist of the story, capturing snapshots as beautiful as the ones you can see of him inside the little cube.
I think it was a very beautiful experience for everyone, and Fernando’s parents left the studio delighted, thanking us for our patience. We absolutely love these kinds of sessions! We hope you enjoy this one as much as we do.
