Pregnant photos outdoors: Alicia
Alicia arrived at the studio with the idea of doing her maternity photos outdoors, in order to set a date. The surprise came when I discovered that, although she was at the right time for this kind of session, her baby bump hadn’t grown enough yet.
The solution was to wait a few days while we planned aspects of the session like the clothing, and finally set a date to do her outdoor maternity photos. When that day arrived, little Valeria had gained weight and size, so that Alicia’s belly was now clearly noticeable.
Maternity Photos Outdoors at Parque Oromana
Alicia wanted her maternity photos to be taken outdoors, so we chose an ideal location to capture the images: Parque Oromana. Pregnancy is synonymous with life, so what better place to symbolize it than a natural setting, surrounded by forests, water, paths, and trails?
The session wasn’t complete without the baby’s dad, who was very excited to share this moment with his two great loves. In these images, you see just a few glimpses of the session. Outdoor maternity photos can often be more challenging than studio shots due to the difficulty of finding comfortable spots for posing or for the expectant mom to rest, as well as dealing with lighting, shadows, and contrast.
In this regard, Alicia was very proactive throughout, as was her partner, who knew exactly how to step back and let the mom and little Valeria take center stage—they looked spectacular at every moment. Alicia, radiant with light, and Valeria, still in her mom’s belly, surely enjoyed all the love from her parents.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
