Communion report indoors and outdoors: Sergio
Communion photography is one of the projects we love the most at Aps Fotografía because, as in Sergio’s case, we’ve been watching him grow ever since we opened our studio. He’s the eldest of three little ones who have been coming to see us practically since little Emma was a baby, so when I saw Sandra appear at the door, I knew exactly what was about to happen. We decided that the session would have two parts: one indoors before the celebration and another outdoors after the mass.
On the day of the indoor session, Sergio arrived accompanied by his mom and little sister, whose presence filled our studio with laughter and joy. We professionals truly appreciate when family members join us—as long as they let us work and their contributions add something interesting to the final result. We had an amazing time, and it’s not just because we’ve known Sergio for so long; Sergio is an outstanding model who needs very little direction to make the photographs perfect. We knew from the very first shot that choosing our favorite snapshots was going to be a challenge! We went through three of our four indoor setups, having a blast, with Sergio always deciding the order in which they appeared. During his studio session, his report was done solo, while in the outdoor part he was joined by his siblings and parents.
When it was time for the outdoor session—taking advantage of the park and its natural light—Sergio came with the whole family dressed in their best attire. The three little ones made the session even more fun; little Emma had us laughing a lot because she is the shyest of the group—even though she’s known us since she was a baby, whenever she sees us she just can’t get the words out. And although Sergio was the main focus, his family wanted to be involved and participate in the session, creating a very warm and beautiful family atmosphere. Sergio was immensely happy that his brother Rubén was there with him, as Rubén is one of the people who brings him the most smiles in everyday life.
Sergio, the boy who could be a model and for whom we already have so much affection
We all enjoyed the session immensely—even little Emma later wanted some solo photos, like a true princess. We hold a special fondness for Sandra’s family for all the Christmases they’ve allowed us to capture their memories. We leave you with them; enjoy it as much as we did.
